Gorgeous massive balls of barely pink tinted off-white star shaped flowers sit atop slightly silvery stems with large, gently pointed leaves. Support Monarch butterfly and several other North American pollinator species with this tolerant and hardy perennial native. While they can be a little troublesome to start, and do require a period of cold stratification for germination, once these plants are established they will spread, reliably providing more and more flowers and foliage each year. They generally begin blooming in their second year. When well established, these will spread both by seed and underground, requiring maintenance if one does not prefer a wilder look to their garden.
